FluentGym ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered English speaking coach. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and web service.

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, age group, and English proficiency level.

Audio Recordings: When you complete speaking drills, placement tests, or milestone assessments, we record your voice using your device's microphone. These recordings are used solely for AI-powered speech analysis and feedback.

Learning Data: We track your drill scores, progress metrics, vocabulary learned, streak days, and linguistic error patterns to personalize your learning experience.

Device Information: We may collect basic device information such as device type and operating system version for app compatibility purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide personalized English speaking practice and feedback
• To analyze your speech using AI (speech-to-text transcription and language analysis)
• To track your learning progress and generate progress reports
• To generate daily drills tailored to your skill level and areas for improvement
• To enable parent accounts to view their child's learning progress

3. Microphone Usage

FluentGym requires microphone access to record your speaking practice. Audio is recorded only when you actively tap the record button. We do not record audio in the background. Recordings are transmitted securely to our servers for AI analysis and are not shared with third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Microsoft Azure cloud servers. We use JWT-based authentication and encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plain text.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• AI Service Providers: Audio recordings are processed by our AI partners (Google Gemini, Groq) for speech analysis. These providers process data according to their privacy policies.
• Parent Accounts: If a parent account is linked to a student, the parent can view the student's learning progress and scores.

6. Children's Privacy

FluentGym serves users aged 10 and above. For users under 18, we recommend parental supervision. Parent accounts can be linked to monitor their child's learning progress. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 10.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data and learning progress for as long as your account is active. Audio recordings may be retained for up to 90 days for analysis purposes, after which they are automatically deleted. If you delete your account, all associated data will be removed within 30 days.
